Essentially, investing means putting your money to work for you. Growing up, most of us were taught that you can only earn an income by getting a job and working for a wage, and that's what most of us do. However, the problem is that in order to make more money, we'd have to work more hours and there are only so many hours in the day.
Since we can't yet create a duplicate of ourselves, what we can do is put our money to work for us instead by investing. This maximizes our earning potential whether or not we work more hours, earn a raise, or look for higher paying jobs.
Derek Eichenwald, CEO and Senior Investment Executive of Triumph Capital Management will review these topics and more during his presentation.
